With this update, RWS somehow managed to hit yet another new low. Trados still crashes constantly. Autosuggest does not work properly anymore. The termbase still crawls along. The DeepL plugin keeps crashing the app. And now, OpenAI for Trados has started producing utterly nonsensical results in multiple languages. Bravo!
While Trados unexpectedly crashing is a real problem of concern, ti should be stressed that Trados has become very complex and dependent on many modules and services provided by others. What you perceive as problem with Trados could just as well be due to some other factors independent of Trados. When installing latest updates with new functionality there is always a risk of coming across some new condition that has not been tested before. Let's give the developer team some time to gather information and correct these new bugs :-)
Of course I will — I don’t really have much of a choice. However, ever since Studio 2024 was released, I’ve been experiencing crashes and problems with both the termbase and the DeepL plugin. I had hoped this update would resolve these issues, and I’m still keeping my fingers crossed that it eventually will.
