Translated segments not appearing in TM exports

Hi everyone, I have been using Trados many years, in an agency then as an independent, and I have had the following problem since a few days: although the memory I use is checked to automatically update as I work and segments I translated appear as translated in Trados (Studio 2014 under Windows 7), they do not appear anywhere in the TM exports I make, which caused me to lose a job and which I cannot afford to say to my customers much longer. Anyone has any ideas as to how I can fix it, knowing that I deleted and reinstalled Studio completely and the problem remains?
Thank you, David.

  • Hi David,

If you don't know why you want to use a Project TM then it's probably a good idea to create your Projects without one and then you won't ever need to run the Update Main TM batch task. Sometimes I think the description leads users to believe this is a just a TM for their project, which of course they want. But it's actually more than that. It's a special TM made up of project specific contents from your Main TM (so only TUs that would be found in your main TM for that Project) and it's used as a scratch pad TM. So you don't pollute your main TM at all, you just use this Project TM for the duration of the project and then update your Main TM from the reviewed and approved translations in the sdlxliff files once the project is complete.

    Regards
