Trados Studio 2015: Numerous error messages after installation of Module SR2

Hello!

I've seen that many of you have the same problems as me since the installation of module SR2.

Unfortunately, none of the solutions suggested worked for me. My files, termbases etc. are all saved locally on my PC and I don't work with the Norvegian language which seems to be at the heart of the problem for some of my colleagues.

Before the installation of SR2, Trados Studio 2015 and Multiterm worked fine.

Now, I can no longer link Multiterm with Studio and I get all of the time error messages (when I want to analyse files, when I want to check the spelling, etc.)

I therefore want to uninstall this module which brought nothing but trouble.

Could anyone advice me what is best:

1) Should I deactivate the licence, then completely uninstall Trados Studio and Multiterm, then reinstall Trados Studio and Multiterm and finally reactivate the licence?

2) Or is there a way to just uninstall the module SR2 without actually uninstalling the whole thing?

Thank you very much!

Kind regards,

Lucia

  • Hi Luçia,

I think people here had the issue resolved when they took CU4 which was an update for SR2 released for this reason.  Have you taken the update?  Have you also updated MultiTerm to SR2?

    Regards

  • Dear Paul,
Thank you for your quick reply.

Yes, I had installed the SR2 module both for Studio and for Multiterm.

Following your advice, I downloaded today Studio-KB9268-4.msp
I double-clicked on the file which made appear a progress bar for about 60 seconds.
Afterwards, I opened Trados Studio, which just asked me to add five languages and that was it.
I think that this installation of the cumulative update has not worked as this went much to quick and as I still have the same error messages.

When I go into Trados Studio, it tells me that I have the version "SDL Trados Studio 2015 SR2 - 12.2.5087.4".
If the installation of the cumulative update had worked, should I see it in the name of my version?

As the CU had apparently not been installed, I double-clicked again at it and then opened again Trados Studio. This time, Studio did not even ask me for the five languages. Could you give me any hint what I can do to successfully install this cumulative update? Many thanks in advance!

    Kind regards,
    Lucia
