I'm trying to figure out this problem I'm having for quite some time now. What I want to do is simply make the source translation from row A and put target translation in row B but of course with the empty cells from A. I'm having this problem when I export the excel file.

ok - understood. I tested this but can't reproduce the problem myself. But here's a suggestion that might help. Filter on the source so all the empty segments are not showing:
Then they are completely ignored and it may resolve the problem you seem to have.

Looking at your screenshot above it looks like you still have the blank rows hidden or filtered. Try displaying blank rows again.
Anyway, this workaround should not be necessary. I could not reproduce it either. The target file looks OK (with empty rows) without hiding or filtering before processing it in Studio. Just might have something to do with the Preserve Target Style checkbox, try checking or unchecking that. I used these settings for the Bilingual Excel file type and the generated file came out OK.
