Multilanguage termbase settings (2)

There is still some problem with the TB. The termbase is connected to the project and correct language specified - but I still don't get the terms - exept ONLY the ones I save while translating, both newly added AND EXISTING.

I added some terms and they show up properly after - but I also attemted to add a term that Studio said already existed. I could see this existing term with translations and comments in the Termbase Viewer (number ca. 13.700 so TB is not empty) just as usual but it anyway did not show up in the Term Recognition window. So I saved this existing term in the TB Viwer without any addition or editing and after that it shows up. What am I missing?

This is a TB that was originally made for Trados 2009 and contains terms in English and 4 other languages to Icelandic. I have used it for translations from EN to IS without problems (and it's ok today) but probably not for the other languages I need now. Could the automatic updating to Studio 2015 format be failing (only on some languages ??) and if so, how could I fix it?

Brgds and thanks in advance,

Fridrik Fr.

  • Hello again,
I increased the MaxLocksPerFile-value first to 20.000 - and got the same error msg. in MT and nothing in the Term Recognition window. As the entries in TB are about 65.000 I decided to increase the value above that or to 90.000. After Reorganization in MT I got the English terms back in function but still not the other languages. Same behaviour as before.

Then I made new Word file in Danish with some text and 2 words I knew existed in the TB (by looking in the Termbase Viewer), opened the file for translation with the correct languages, TM and TB. - Still no results in Term Recognition window. Serching for these words manually did however work.

One thing I noticed was that one of these 2 words had the red line abowe indicating it was in the TB, but not the other word.

    Best regards,
    Fridrik
