Problems with Studio 15. Important.

Hi everyone!

At the time people use the 17 vertion, my progress with 15 one is not very well. Sometimes there is no ploblem. But sometimes I simply can't make much needed operation, because the buttons are not working.

Before typing - everything's OK. Comments and track change buttons are bright.

As long as I do the translation, the comment button and the locking button are grey. Only track change one works.  I'll try to show that, but I don't know whow to make that readable....

    Hi Natalya,

    I think this is because you have track changes on and have tracked changes in the file. Although, having said this the behaviour of commenting with tracked changes on is a bit inconsistent as sometimes it allows commenting and sometimes it does not.

    For example, if you open a new file for review as you have here and then click into the middle of the segment so the cursor is in the middle of a word. Now do this:

    Backspace - watch the "Add comment" grey out
    Delete - watch the "Add comment" come back and still have the same track change

    This is logged for correction with the development team.

    Another option, which would allow you to comment and use tracked changes, is to export the file for bilingual review. If you do this you can review the file in Word, make comments and edits, then when you bring the file back in all the comments and tracked changes will be there.

    Hi Paul
    I got all that mess after opening the text for translation, not for review, and,
     firstly, the lock button doesn’t work? I can’t work without it
     secondly, I used to make comments while I’m working (myself, not the editor)
     finally, I started trying to use the Track change button only to get rid of the total highlighting (“File mode on/off” button, (the tip I got here and it works)).

    I must be doing something wrong?
