Hi David Harris , sorry to hear you have having problems with this plugin.  Looks like something related to the encoding, possibly.  Can you make available the mp4 and srt so that we can at the very least confirm your findings here?

Thanks Patrick - I've sent you an email. I forgot to mention that the .mp4 plays correctly in Windows Media Player, and the .srt file looks good in Studio.

Hi David Harris , thx for providing the files.  This could potentially be a problem of the video size that is loaded in the plugin. 

As a test, I loaded the smaller version of the video (e.g. 21.64mb | 426x240) and it was loaded correctly in plugin from Studio.  I didn't attempt to download the 2+gb version as my connection here is quite slow atm.
Can you pls try to download the smaller version of the video and confirm if it loads in Studio.

As suggested on another post, I tried making the file names the same by changing them to [filename].srt and [filename].srt.mp4 / [filename].mp4, but that didn't help.

In reference to Patrick Andrew Hartnett 's case that he logged I tested your files using Trados Studio 2024 (all be it Beta) and Trados Studio 2022. Annoyingly I have the MP preview working



And to clarify this was the size of the MP4 given

Yes, that was the same MP4 and the file also worked for Patrick.

I wonder if there is another setting in Studio we're missing, or another dependency we need?

Coincidently, Trados and plugins were newly reinstalled yesterday and are completely up to date.

Can you think of anything else we can try?
