In certain situations TBM can automatically send an assignment confirmation to a vendor. However, this will work if the following requirements are met:
- In a translation project, you select Workflow value, which specifies number of phases to deliver jobs.
- In the Assignments tab of a project, you create necessary assignments for all phases of a workflow.
- For each created assignment, you select a vendor and set status to Prepare.
If these requirements are met, TBM will perform the following actions when a vendor from a previous assignment (for example, translation), will deliver files via vendor portal:
- Delivered files from previous assignments will be transferred to a next assignment (for example, proofreading).
- TBM will generate purchase order for a next assignment.
- TBM will send notifications to a selected vendor (by email or in-app, as per settings).
- Next vendor will be able to logon to the vendor portal and download files for assigned part of work.
Sometimes, you may have multiple files, assigned to multiple vendors. In this case, to make automated assignments to work correctly, it is required to specify File name for the Job task and Assignment task, so TBM can correctly identify assignment which must be picked up.
