When you wish to split an assignment between vendors, you usually have source analysis (which is already imported into translation job), and then additional reports for each split assignment.
To get correct numbers of your assignments, please follow this procedure:
- Create translation job containing all task with correct volumes. Take a note on the Unassigned quantity column. You will use it to track assigned and not assigned volumes.
- Click Create assignment button. A new translation assignment will be created, with all quantities copied from a source translation job.
- Optionally, remove all tasks from an assignment. You can skip this step.
- Click Import data from CAT tools button on the toolbar and select your first analysis file prepared for a vendor.
- When you click OK to finish importing data, application will try to pickup correct tasks from a source job and link created task in an assignment with job's task. In the result, Job task column should not be empty.
- If application wasn't able to pickup source job's task correctly, you can do this manually for each imported task.
- When you save an assignment, you will see that Unassigned quantity column in the list of tasks of a source job now has different values. You can now create a second assignment, and repeat above steps to create as many additional assignments as needed, by importing next analysis files to each next created assignment.
