Hi there,
Will there be any problems running Studio on Windows 11? Or, should I wait installing it until you have checked this?
Best regards,
Knut

I believe Win 11 production release is due to be released the same week as SR2 which is a few weeks away yet... so good timing!
I have this note from the development team:
" In the initial testing no issues were found with Studio therefore there will be a mention in the release notes around Studio compatibility and Windows 11. "
I would note however that if you are planning to install it now you are doing so prior to the public release. What's the hurry?
Hi Paul,
No hurry, really. I am just one of those that click yes if there is an update, same goes for buying the newest version of Studio :-)
I am planning to do the same. Have you already updated? Did it work?
Hello Paul,
Windows 11 public release is here, at least my Windows 10 desktop PC bought in May 21 is offering me the upgrade to Windows 11. Any sign of SR2 yet?
I have just upgraded to Windows 11, I have the latest version of Trados Studio 2021 SR1 - 16.1.8.4404, "Check for updates" does not show anything newer.
All seems to be working OK so far.
Hi Paul. I just upgraded to Windows 11 and I see two things:
1) Multiterm won't open a termbase. It displays instead the following message and stops working: "Unable to cast COM object of type
'Sdl.MultiTerm.TMO.Interop.TermbaseRepositoryClass■ to interface type Sdl.MultiTerm.TMO.Interop.ITermbaseRepository-. This operation failed because the Querylnterface call on the COM
component for the interface with IID '{xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx}' failed due to the following error: No such interface supported (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80004002 (E.NOINTERFACE))." .
2) Term Recognition doesn't work in Trados Studio. The message "Searching for terms" is displayed.
Both were working just fine before I upgraded to Windows 11.
what versions of Studio and Multiterm are you using? Full version numbers please.

It was a little delayed to resolve some things found on the Beta testing. But it’s close… you’ll get the usual notifications when it gets released.
Trados Studio 2021 SR1 - 16.1.8.4404
SDL Multiterm 2021 SR1 - 16.1.541
Have you tried running a repair on the installs after upgrading windows?
I cannot say it’s even supported given Win 11 came out long after the release of 2021 but we have tested SR2 which is due shortly.
But try repairing and see how you get on with that.
