How to translate an AsciiDoc (adoc) file?

One of my clients plans to write a new documentation in AsciiDoc, a markup language similar to Markdown or Wikitext, but a bit more versatile. Studio 2017 has no native support so far. Does anyone have some experience with translating AsciiDoc files? Is there a nice workflow already?
I don't want to translate the HTML output.
Thank you in advance!

  • Hi Tobias,

I took a look at the spec for this format and as you say it's a text based format with its own markup. You can handle this using the regex based filetype and just create your own rules. Take a look at the part of this article that talks about the Markdown format and how to create a filetype for that:

    multifarious.filkin.com/.../

If that doesn't help drop some sample text into here (copy/paste or attach an example file) and we can knock one up to show you how to do it.

    Regards
