Error message "Cannot find central directory" when trying to add file to project

I use SDL Trados Studio 2014 Freelance on a Macbook Air via Parallels.

I recently copied my files onto iCloud Drive due to lack of space. I got an error message saying I had too many files to do this, but the files were transferred to iCloud Drive anyway, however no copies were left on my Mac. I subsequently installed a larger hard disk and used a Time Machine backup to recover my files.

I'm now having constant problems using Studio. The latest one is the above.

Any help much appreciated.

Andy

I know what I'm doing, I'm translating. If It would be nice if you could take a less agressive tone. Take it easy.

Guess what, I've just found out Time Machine DOES restore the Parallels partition PERFECTLY, all you need to do is put in the right settings in Parallels. So maybe your friends at Apple aren't as dishonest as you think. Just BELIEVE. You're supposed to be helping people, not making them feel worse.

Although you are unable to answer my questions, your colleague Jerzy is taking a more positive constructive attitude Take a leaf out of his book. Although I suspect you'll prefer not to.
