OutOfMemoryException error occurred while processing large files using Trados

Question

Hello Team, 
 
 I'm working with an Excel file containing 1,000,000 words in Trados and need to lock repeated segments. However, whenever I try to lock segments or save the file, I encounter an OutOfMemoryException error. 
 I believe this is due to the large file size, and splitting it isn&rsquo;t an option since we need to lock repeated segments within the same file. 
 Is there a solution for handling large files in this case? My computer specifications are: SSD + 16GB RAM

 I think your file is simply too large for Trados. Maybe split the Excel anyway, but use the "Export frequent segments" option to create a file that contains the segments you would lock. Then create a TM from these segments, pre-translate the project against this TM only, then use the SDLXLIFF Toolkit to lock all the translated segments. You can do this across multiple files so that could work. A bit of a pain, but your file is really too large:
