Found matches, but not showing them.

In the translation results window Trados Studio 2017 sometimes tells me that it found matches, but it is not showing them. Very arrogant, if you ask me. How can I teach this piece of machinery some decent manners?

  • Hi Kevin - damn, now that I'm trying to get data for you, of course I can't reproduce the problem, but that gave me an idea of what causes it:

    I was using a WS project that came with several TMs and a lot of segments pretranslated. The pretranslated stuff is usually BS, and what I normally do is I remove all the client TMs and add my own. This time, however, I was interested in the pre-existing translations, so I left the client TMs and added my own to them. I think that the error occurred whenever there were no 100% or higher matches in either the client's or my TM but high fuzzies in both, so Studio probably couldn't decide on priorities or order of display or something like that.

    Does that make any sense?

    On a side note: This forum really is a nightmare. I honestly have no idea what I need to do to be notified if you answer ... Had I seen your answer right away, I could have sent you the data requested.
