Dealing with quotes/projects containing many files could become a complex process. To facilitate this, TBM provides a mechanism which helps managing multi-lingual projects containing many files. This mechanism is based on possibility to get separate analysis statistics for each file included in a project. For now, automatic file name retrieval from analysis reports works only for analysis files generated by Trados Studio (Trados Team/Enterprise).
When you import analysis data into TBM, analysis import results dialog contains Analysis per file checkbox, which is unchecked by default:
This means that analysis results display aggregated data from the whole analysis report being imported, and total number of rows here is usually limited by a number of fuzzy types appearing in an analysis file. If to check Analysis per file checkbox, and if imported file contains information about multiple files, table with resulting rows will display much more rows:
Now, for each analyzed file you will see analysis statistics, and you can import this data into your quote or job in the same form. In the result, you will get a lot of tasks, with File name column populated with a file name:
Now, when you select any tasks in the list of tasks and create translation assignment over them, corresponding files will be automatically added to a created assignment:
Or, if you create translation assignment using a button on the job's main toolbar, application will display file selection dialog where it will automatically pre-select only files which were not processed in any other assignment created for that job:
And, depending on files you select in this dialog, application will automatically copy to a created assignment only those task from a job, which correspond to selected files.
This way, you can create multiple assignments for different vendors in a single job, if such job includes a lot of files which should be distributed among many vendors.
